Sensor box ≠ transmitter box
G6 sensors and G6 transmitters are separate products with separate REF codes, and mixing them up is one of the most common quote mistakes we see:
- The transmitter kit is a small box containing one transmitter; its REF starts with STT.
- Sensor boxes contain one or three sensors; their REFs use OE/OR/OM codes.
Never use a sensor REF for a transmitter (or vice versa) — the REF guide shows where each code lives on the packaging.

How much is an unused Dexcom G6 transmitter worth?
Nothing right now: G6 transmitter kits are paused, and the quote tool shows them as not accepted. The REF (STT-OE-002, STT-OR-001 or STT-OM-001) is printed on the box near the barcode and will decide the offer if they return.
Why don't you buy G7 transmitters?
There's no such thing — Dexcom G7 integrated the transmitter into each disposable sensor. That's exactly why sealed G6 transmitters left over after a G7 upgrade have no future use for the upgrader and are worth selling.
My transmitter box has a prescription pharmacy label on it. Is it still eligible?
Usually yes, as long as the factory seal is intact and the box isn't marked for Medicare/Medicaid use or not for resale. Don't peel pharmacy labels off — tell us about them in your submission and we'll confirm eligibility before you ship.
Does the transmitter battery age even in the box?
Transmitter kits carry an expiration date for a reason, and offers require an eligible amount of time remaining. Submit the printed date exactly as shown and your quote will reflect the correct tier.
